Making Pancakes!

 Today I decided to make some pancakes. For the mixture i just used Edmonds pancakes since I didn't have all the stuff to make pancakes. I made some shapes with the pancakes. Here are some photos.

why you should come to france

This week for writing we have been working on persuasive writing and we had to create a advertisement about any country and I chose to do France because it seems like a interesting place to go to.

This week for Reading we have had two learning intentions. 

They are IALT: use punctuation to help my fluency when im reading and IALT: summarise a text by identifying key information. 

Due to the Olympics being on we have also had a choice board full of tasks where we can choose what activities to do. I have chosen to write about someone that does Paralympics.

Deforestation

 

This week for Reading we have been learning about Deforestation.

We have been focusing on our fluency when reading out loud by identifying punctuation.

We also have been focusing on identify key facts and using these in our follow up/create activities

Deforestation is when you take trees out and don´t put a new seed in the ground and you just leave the ground with nothing. 

Did you know they have to get heaps of approvals from people to make Deforestation happen?

Should we cut down the trees and use the land for a theme park

 

This forest should be cut down and the land should be used to build a theme park.

I don't think anyone would want a theme park to be built where a forest used to be. Even though it sounds cool to build a theme park but if we cut all the trees down there would be no oxygen. Today I'm going to tell you why we shouldn't cut down the trees for an amusement park.

First of all we shouldn't cut down the trees for a theme park and here's why. Trees breathe in carbon dioxide for us and breathe out oxygen. Trees also help us make food. Some may be poisonous, but most food is nice and healthy to eat. So if you save trees they save you money on energy! Did you also know that trees produce 150- 300 fruit a month? Now that's a lot!

Second of all if we build a theme park it uses more energy. They also make you pay for all the rides separately. Why can't they just make it so u pay to go on all the rides at once. If you left the forest you wouldn't have to worry about paying for anything. Did you know that tree rings can predict climate change! 

Last of all if we cut down all the trees for an amusement park the animals would lose their homes and some would probably die and we don't want more animals to die. We are also taking away our food and animal food if we cut down those trees. If they built an amusement park the animals would probably think that it's their new home and go live there and steal the food from there. Did you know that they build 10+ amusement parks a year. That's it for today and in conclusion I strongly disagree that they should build an amusement park because it is unhealthy for our environment.

This week for writing in room 22 we had two topics to choose from and I decided to do should we cut down the trees for a theme park and I wrote my opinion and I said the reason why we shouldn't cut it down.

For Writing this Week we had to create a slide show about Dog Smart. We got taught about Dog Smart last Week  from this lady and she brought in her dog for it and we got taught a lot about dog smart. here are is some information about what we got taught
